Here is our weekly up-date. There is lots going on, in the class and in the church. I'm going to try and mention the most important stuff. If I forget something close to your heart, I apologize.
Curriculum: This Week: Christianity's Family Tree (CFT) Ch. 3 Lutheranism - led by the Millers
10/7 - details are being worked out - mostly likely a visit from new Adult Education minister, Debbie Fambro
10/14 - Superintendent of Education Jim Rex, in the Dining Room, speaking about equitable funding in education
10/21 - CFT Ch. 4 Presbyterianism - led by Hedgepaths
10/28 - organizational Sunday
Social:
10/11 - Ladies Night - details TBA
10/18 - Guys Night - details TBA
10/26 - Oktoberfest at Hedgepath's
Service:
Michael should have the results of the service survery soon., however, here are 2 ideas to be thinking about:
1. Habitat Blitz Oct. 13-20, 27 and Nov. 3 (and maybe a few other dates I'm forgetting)
2. Tom Wall, UMC Campus Minister at USC (he visited class sometime this summer) wrote asking if we'd be willing to provide a Sunday evening meal for approx. 45 people. Providing a meal for youth was the #1 response in the survey, so we could do this meal in addition to TRUMC's UMYF (one in the fall and one in the spring) or we could choose one over the other. Think about it and we'll discuss on Sunday.

The Fall Festival will be held on Wed. Oct. 31 - it's fair games & food, and then Trunk-or-Treat for the kiddies. If you're interested in participating in Trunk-or-Treat by having a decorated trunk please speak to Mary Ellen Shaffer or Andy Hedgepath. And invite your friends & neighbors for the fun.
The Evangelism committee has requested our help in praying for the Festival of Faith. Thanks to those who already signed up. If you're interested in praying for a 15 minute duration on Sat. 11/3 please speak to Bill Shwartz, chair of the committee to sign up.
That's all folks. See you Sunday.
